We thought it was funny he was getting ahead with no prior political experience, but it turns out Volodymyr Zelensky wasn’t joking at all.
Volodymyr an Actor who plays the Ukranian President on TV Shows has charmed his way into the hearts of Ukrainians receiving a whopping 73% of the votes overshadowing his rival and incumbent Petro Poroshenko.
Poroshenko conceded defeat placing the 41 year old comedian at the helm of Ukranian affairs. On speaking to Journalist, the Comedian had the following to say:
“I’m not yet officially the president, but as a citizen of Ukraine, I can say to all countries in the post-Soviet Union look at us. Anything is possible!”
What a way to charm his way into the hearts of Ukranians, some of who have commented that instead of a disadvantage, his lack of experience was a plus.
So if you want to try for the role of president, giving acting a shot may not be a bad idea after all ;).
