UN Receives 184 Reformed Child Soldiers from Nigerian Military

We earlier reported the Nigeria military has handed over 180 child soldiers to the United Nations, read the story here. According to the Commander, many of the children were coerced into joining the terrorists.

Theatre Commander, Operational Lafiya Dole, Nicholas Rogers, officiated the brief ceremony held at the Maimalari Barracks of the Seven Division in Maiduguri.

The United Nations Children Fund says more than two thousand children were engaged by Boko Haram in twenty-sixteen alone.

Between January 2013 and December 2016, Boko Haram maimed, killed or used 12,850.
