The Senator Representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has alleged that the police on Wednesday brought tools to break into his Abuja residence.
With the siege entering its sixth day, the Senator tweeted that an EOD truck had brought some officers with the plan to vandalise his house.
Although it is alleged that Senator Melaye was purportedly out of town and would report to the police this week, the force claims it heard him shout at an officer from the top floor of the apartment.
The police had laid siege on the residence since Friday, after its attempt to arrest the senator proved abortive.
