The Senate President, Bukola Saraki has reacted to the collapse of a three-storey building in Itafaji area of Lagos State.
Many children are trapped in the collapse building as rescue efforts are ongoing at the time of filing this report.
The children are said to be students of a primary school located on the top floor of the building.
The structure is reported to be a residential building with several apartments.
Reacting to the incident, the Senate President prayed for the safe rescue of the children trapped in the debris.
In a twee, Saraki wrote: “My heartfelt prayers are with all the families affected by today’s building collapse in the Ita-Faaji area of Lagos Island, particularly the young school children who are reportedly trapped inside. I pray for their safe rescue.”
