2018 Tour de France champion, Geraint Thomas is out of the Tour de Suisse after suffering a crash during the competition’s stage four.
The Team Ineos cyclist sustained cuts above his right eye and to his back and remained conscious as he was taking to the hospital for further assessment on a possible collarbone or should injury.
The 33-year old was due to lead Team Ineos challenge at this year’s Tour de France following the horrific crash suffered by teammate, Chris Froome last week, which left him with multiple injuries, including a broken femur and ruled him out of the Tour de France.

With barely three weeks to the Tour de France, Geraint Thomas is now a major doubt to defend his title.
