Ethiopian Airline: Buhari sends message to Pius Adesanmi, Bashua family

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with families of the two Nigerians, Amb. Abiodun Bashua and Prof. Pius Adesanmi, who lost their lives in the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed on Sunday.

The airline announced that there were no survivors on its flight ET302 which crashed on Sunday en route Nairobi from Addis Ababa.

The airline said the 149 passengers and eight crew members on board the B-737-800MAX with registration number ET- AVJ, all died in the crash.

“None of the people on board the Boeing 737 that crashed en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi survived,” the airline said.

Reacting, Buhari in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, condoled with friends of the distinguished Nigerians and the other passengers and crew who lost their lives in the plane disaster.

He said: “My thoughts are with the families and friends of these distinguished Nigerians and the other passengers and crew who lost their lives in the plane crash in Addis Ababa.

“May the Almighty Allah give them strength and fortitude to bear the loss.”
