Forbes recently listed Kanye West as one of the top billionaires in the music industries, but this listing doesn’t make Kanye very happy, unlike most people who dream to be listed as one of the top percent of the richest people globally.
First off, Kanye wasn’t too happy he didn’t make the list last year because of some paperwork by Forbes and now that he did, his ‘real’ value wasn’t communicated properly after missing the first publication once more and the rapper wasn’t having it. He accused the editor of toying with him. and went on to correct him in a very direct statement – It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count
In response, the piece writer, Zack O’Malley Greenburg disclosed how Forbes arrives at their published affluent’s wealth metric, which is by dividing the sum up in three places and working up from there. He also shared that like Kanye’s model, Trump, the artist is proud.
In conclusion, despite not liking the figures, he welcomed Kanye into the brotherhood of the rich.
