Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment to ensuring the recent Edo state governorship elections was free and fair.
Governor Obaseki also thanked residents of Edo state for coming out enmass to support his candidacy saying the victory belongs to the people.
Speaking at the banquet wing of the Government house in Benin City, he says his victory marks a new dawn for Edo people.
Also in attendance was the Governor of Rivers state Nyesom Wike, who commended Edo people for bringing an end to godfatherism in the state.
