The Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, has expressed shock over the passing of Evelyn Murray-Bruce, the wife of Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
Senator Murray-Bruce announced his wife’s demise on Friday after a protracted battle with cancer.
In a condolence message to the family, Governor Diri described her death as shocking and painful.
He commiserated with the Bruce family and described the late Evelyn as an affable person that was easily loved by everyone around her.
On behalf of the government and people of Bayelsa State, the Governor prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and grace for the family to bear the huge loss.
