A TV presenter, Shade Ladipo is presently receiving a backlash on social media for advising ladies against what she calls the pressure to “Marry Down”.
This is coming after the Osas Ighodalo and Gbenro Ajibade’s marital crisis outburst on Sunday.

Reacting to the outburst, Shade Ladipo who only got married a few weeks ago called him a weakling and further wrote:
“I’m pained when I see amazing, hardworking and determined women try to be put down by Society, Culture and then by Family.
Pls do not put yourself under any undue pressure to get married and then end up with a loser who will be threatened every time you breathe
Your calling is great and the man you marry must be able to take it and run with it…..Don’t settle for anything less….Don’t Marry Down….Marry your Partner….Someone who wants you to do better than him….I always felt She was Marrying Down and from that illiterate rant, I was right .”
Interestingly, the response generated a lot of heat as even popular singer Lami in a crypted message, wrote “Dear newlywed, do not be quick to expose your marriage….let it cook first before serving it…also…hold back “marital advice” for a while…get some work experience before you teach…..every marriage is unique….”
