Cross River Police Warn Citizens Against Movement within Lockdown Hours

Cross River State Police Command has advised citizens in the state to stay at home within the curfew hours in adherence to the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari as part of efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ugbo, while speaking with reporters in readiness for the enforcement, said the order will be total, hence anyone not exempted from the directive order should stay at home.

The PPRO said Police with the support of other security agencies have strategically positioned across the state, warning that anyone loitering or moving about within the curfew hours will be arrested and prosecuted .

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari last Monday gave the directive of nationwide curfew between 8 pm and 6 am daily effective from 12 midnight May 4, 2020.
