The Adams Oshiomhole faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Working Committee, NWC, has advised members of the party to disregard a notice of meeting of the National Executive Committee, NEC, scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
A statement jointly signed by the National Legal Adviser, Babatunde Ogala and National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said the convener of the NEC meeting was not vested with any constitutional power to do so.
Acting National Secretary, Victor Giadom had on Friday issued a notice of the NEC meeting for March 17, 2020.
The latest statement from Ogala and Issa-Onilu says neither the National Chairman nor the resolution of two third of members of NEC has directed nor made any request to summon a NEC as specified in Article 25 of the party Constitution.
